Nepotism: I’m Practical About It
Politics that blindly favor nepotism—or blindly reject it—-without thinking about what the individual actually brings to the table is, in my opinion, utter foolishness.
As a trainer, I have worked with every kind of student imaginable. I am extremely proud that I have trained more than 12 first-generation achievers in my fields prior to 2018 itself.
But that does not mean children of people already established in a field did not work hard, achieve, or have parents who made tremendous efforts to support their careers. This does not out rule those parents who are new to field on those amazing efforts :).
After working with 4,000+ students and 200+ graduates just in the DFW area, do you really think I care who a kid is or where that kid comes from?
Not in a million worlds.
I care about what they bring to the table. I care about efforts they make and then comes the part of money on certain packages.
If a legacy kid is exceptionally trained or takes full trainings, is super disciplined, born talented, sky rockets reliability, and successful undeniably, why would I deliberately undermine that person simply because of their family background?
If anything, I would use the attention and those efforts, these labelled kids —- naturally bring.
As a director and solo investor, I am practical enough to acknowledge that productions are not built on talent alone.
Money matters. Audience attention matters. Networks matter. Visibility matters. Support matters. And ultimately, sustainability matters.
Pretending otherwise doesn’t make the industry more ethical. It just makes the decision-making less realistic.
And here is something I have found particularly interesting from working with legacy kids:
Many of them are willing to work for free simply to gain experience, build credits, learn the process, and prove themselves or merely grow.
Meanwhile, sometimes the person with no industry connection is immediately asking, “How much are you paying me?”
This is difference.
Talk about where the direct advantage can move.
That doesn’t make one person better than the other. It simply proves that the assumptions surrounding nepotism are not always as straightforward as people want them to be.
Having worked with many legacy children, I have also seen the amount of effort parents can put behind their child’s career. Specific to those in field. Those who are new need a good direction.
The driving around.
The scheduling.
The training.
The financial investment.
The constant availability.
The pushing beyond comfort zones.
The willingness to make sacrifices so their child can learn, develop, and build something.
That hits differently when you actually witness it firsthand. I have nothing but strong admiration of these parents who put so much efforts to make sure their kids, irrespective of nepotism and take all the skills.
A parent giving their own child an opportunity is not automatically the same thing as a parent handing their child an achievement.
Opportunity can be provided. Achievement still has to be earned.
I am proud of my first-generation students I have trained. I am equally capable of recognizing the accomplishments of legacy students. One does not cancel out the other.
So yes—I can hate some aspects of nepotism and appreciate others.
I can understand the unfair advantages it can create while also recognizing the legitimate advantages it can bring to a production.
I can support a first-generation artist without automatically opposing a legacy artist.
And as someone who has directed, trained, produced, and invested independently,
I will always look at the complete picture.
What does this person bring?
What does the production gain?
What does the audience gain?
What does the individual contribute? The Money part of it,
And most importantly—what is the quality?
Because deliberately harming someone’s career simply because they happen to be a “nepo kid,” especially when the success is off the charts, is not justice either.
It is bad strategy based on rage, uneducated and inexperience mindset.
The real skill is knowing where nepotism actually matters—and where it doesn’t.
I personally would not waste my energy playing politics over. Uneducated people do this. This shit needs to end.
Let me give an example —– A backstage dancer in movies should be thankful that he/she got a chance in movie financed by some nepo’s parents! Movie itself won’t exist.
A parent will not put money on somebody just because some are highly skilled. Very few may. Depends.
Be thankful that i do all this for my kids, other 4000 got opportunity, 9 students got scholarships. You think all those 9 kids are my kids!
Sounds right?
If i ask you to put money in others kid —would you ? This is what i am talking about.
Don’t be a stupid, learn to take the experience. Learn to understand how families have survived through generations impeccably.
Something to learn not to unnecessary discriminate,
It is the experience that builds during, and after the trainings. Once you take skills, there are several success stories. In trainings, you cannot own anything. It is after that, you do!
Investments are very much personal choice. Just because a company has a heir does not make you stop working—-that’s the dumbest thing ever. it does not matter who sits on company 1st hand, it matters though what you bring on table. Use common sense. This is how it works.
Every company offers growth, remember this, Learn to be irreplaceable.
I offered opportunities through Texas All star to everybody through my exclusive training programs. The latest example of Texas All Star Talents. Shit committed fraud, theft and ruined lives of several 1st generation Elites. This shit example of worthlessness. Boils down to crack head upbringing. Here’s proof of it.
About my Elite Lines – Want to know something — see these ?
They do not ask anything from me. They in-fact took my load in my worst times. See the people and legacies, i collab with? Identify difference.
They did not ask me a penny when the news went out about all i went through. I got so much love that they did not let me crack. Some even cried while as a seasoned business woman, i did not shed one tear. I did not harm anybody or lied about my anything that I had to care about what people think based on their failed inexperienced assumption life.
It is not my first rodeo. Layman-Salon industry and Marketing fields in India for a woman is off the charts worst.
My family and folks made constant efforts to make sure i tread through. You think when company is well off later onn— i will not reward them. Of course, i will. Who takes care of me? My family. Who invests in me, my family. Who took care of my kids? My family.
When people did not show up, my kids participated, thesettys participated – automatically their participation became the highest! Talk about see how it panned out.
What did others do ? Harm.
They asked me how can i and what should i do to achieve this. They did not argue, they understood.
Example — Jinal Shah — First question on the day of completion of her internships – how can i get my name up there as mine to own anything i do. And she did it. 1st generation.
This is what i am talking about. An example right before you all, from joining to my acquisition under some really horrible ciricumstances — to being a student, intern, graduate, Elite and Elite Line! Young Adult so barely any hurdles except for 1 phd exam. Student life proceeds rather slow if not older in age because of college and work life is new. Unlike seasoned adults.
What did others do?
Argued and argued. Endless emails of worthless arguments. How does it matter and what do you want me to do if lights of certain venue do not warm up faster. Whats to even talk about it! If you are from field, you will know all industrial lights take warm up time to its full power. How are these type of arguments affect the outcome ?
Think! some even argued after the contract. Really?
— And then, these certain worthless existence people who awe themselves for their worthlessness
Harmed my kids not knowing achievements and the whole company stands on it, harmed my elites so that their failed kids can get in —- you think i will allow that, harmed me by deliberate acts of fraud and such acts of their failed life worthlessness, disrespected me because according to them–i am their friend-uh friend ? based on – no idea! Acted based on assumptions based on their failed inexperienced life, some even claimed that they did everything while being conscious of my company to be training program and they cannot claim to do anything until independently endorsed.
They don’t read ? every word on this site is linked to a picture or video. It is documeted success, not wanna be and future. Blog and Documentation began in 2014-2015.
It is the training part of it. You all own the curriculam of universities and exams, you all attend ?
Just because i respectfully treat people does not make me live for them or do anything for anybody. Business is business and it runs on money.
Don’t you dare tell me who does their work under my nose. Companies do not run on worthless existence of worthless people arguing endlessly for existence of their own failed life. It runs on money and tasks that are completed with a full cycle payments.
Companies do not run on delivery, it runs on money from the delivery.
I, as trainer with such a documented success won’t allow you to speak a word about my Graduates, Elites and Elite Lines.
Huge Difference. Simple.
By all means — It should not be your business on parents pushing their kids to do something they understand better than other fields, atleast until kids carve their own paths on anything. That’s what parents should do.
Also, some dorky failed life who addressed me as a bitch, you should learn about your mother–I dare your mother is even faithful to be called a bitch. So, probably whore ? Exactly.
Dorks are not even accountable for their actions and will teach me anything.
