Design, Tailoring and Manufacture – Made In USA.

  • Costumes are designed in Dallas Fortworth, Texas, USA by Hetal Joshi Nagaraj herself, she sketches them by hand and various apps.
  • Ms. Hetal is textile and fabric designer with several successful designs in the markets — as trend setter world wide, she rolls them as waves with all designing rights waived off.
  • Ms. Hetal prepares sample for complicated cuts and prepares sample-prototypes for various props too.
  • Several collections are tailored in DFW, Texas, USA and several props too are manufactured in DFW, Texas, USA.
  • Usually if Ms. Hetal Joshi Nagaraj makes a trip to India then she shops and that’s rare. 
    • Because Ms. Hetal’s productions are pre-designed so its easy for her to design and get it done then to spend time on hours of shopping. 
    • India trips are barely a month so it becomes difficult to shop around endlessly to match production!
    • Rarely 1 in 75 designs will match the pre-designed production plans.

1996 – 2009 – Textile and Fabric Designer https://www.hetaln.com/designing-projects

  • 2010 Bulk E-Commerce – It was Ms. Hetal’s husband(Nagaraj) who, seeing her work through the night to coordinate costume logistics on Indian Standard Time, encouraged her to reconsider the process of the whole “India shipment”.
    • He questioned – Why do you need costumes from India. Aren’t you designer something. This ultimately led her to draw upon her background in textiles-fabric and consider the bulk costume design and production directly in the USA itself.
    • So then, it boiled down to raw materials.
  • 2017 – 2018 – Retail – Company’s own program triggered this, as the bulk shipment of various raw materials arrived late.
    • Ms. Hetal contacted bulk cloth supplier in USA, got the fabric, designed it, cut it and pinned the cuts.
    • Ms. Deepthi stitched those as per Ms. Hetal’s direction.
    • Ms. Hetal has never touched sewing machine.
    • By weekend, all the students performed, productions and shoots were completed.
  • Upto 50, Ms. Hetal Joshi Nagaraj could easily get it done in United States.
    • Ms. Hetal did not have any problems finding professional tailors either. Those are available everywhere.
    • It did not even matter if they were Indians. She could cut and pin the cloth, direct them and they would stitch.
  • Exceptional bulk order of 50 or more – could not be done in retail tailoring.
    • And, in certain time limitations or more than certain number of costumes depending on other requests of accessories and costume pairs or sets were custom ordered from India, if the time duration was considerable.
  • In 2019-2020, the company became one of the largest supplier of bulk costumes, props and commercial sets – Indian and Non – Indian.
  • In 2020, Ms. Hetal’s raw material worth about 6 Lakhs INR was stuck during the lockdown at New York for nearly a year! While only 1 lakh INR worth of shipment box managed to reach to Dallas Fortworth, Texas, USA and all the other were lost permanently during the lockdown.
    • This made her think — Why ship even any raw materials. While thinking of nearly 500 lbs of cloth material, one cannot be choosy for 10 lbs of material. Company then needed a proper site for such details, and better process for local bulk deliveries, and hetaln.com was in making to avoid setbacks.
  • 2021 – 2023 – Dark era of company and catastrophic effects. Thus, the process was paused.
  • 2023 – 2024 – trademarks, various approvals, USA and International bulk agency approvals, copyrights — process was initiated. 
  • 2024 – 2025 – These Brands received several approvals to put it on larger scale so that bulk orders can be delivered.
    • Some include trademarks and copyrights as well.
  • 2025 – 2026 – Timeline, Targets, Design, Planning!
